State Representative Farley A. Santos

State Representative Farley A. Santos proudly represents Danbury’s 109th District in the Connecticut General Assembly.

A product of Danbury’s public schools, he graduated from Henry Abbott Technical High School and began his public service as a member of the Danbury City Council, representing the 4th Ward in 2019. He also previously served on the Danbury Board of Education and brings more than 15 years of experience in the private sector and community development.

Representative Santos has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, serving on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including the Danbury Student and Business Connection and Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County. He has also served as President of the Danbury Police Activities League and currently leads the Landon Jack Verissimo Santos Memorial Scholarship, Inc.

In his legislative role, Representative Santos has been instrumental in securing more than $151 million in funding for Danbury during his first term, supporting public schools, local nonprofits, and community initiatives, including the Afghanistan and Iraq War Veterans Monument—the first in Connecticut dedicated to honoring those who served in these conflicts.

He currently serves as Assistant Majority Leader and Vice Chair of the Banking Committee, and is a member of the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee, the General Law Committee, and the Government Oversight Committee. In addition, he serves as Economic and Community Development Advisor to the Mayor of Danbury.

Representative Santos’s professional career includes nearly 16 years with Savings Bank of Danbury, where he served as Vice President, Community Development Manager, and Bank Ambassador. His contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including Fairfield County Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” in 2022 and induction into the Henry Abbott Technical High School Hall of Fame in 2023.

A former undocumented immigrant who arrived in the United States at the age of seven, Representative Santos’s journey reflects perseverance, opportunity, and service. Today, he continues to give back to the community he calls home, where he lives with his wife, Kathleen, and their daughter, Khloë.
